Brooke Conrad is a freelance journalist based in Raleigh, North Carolina. She formerly covered state policy for the *Carolina Journal*, including stories on political redistricting, voter ID, public records law, agriculture, small business, and religious freedom. She previously interned at the *Washington Examiner* and *Gulf Coast News* and is a 2019 alumna of Cultural Vistas’ Journalism in the Era of Disinformation Fellowship. Brooke graduated in 2019 from Hillsdale College where she majored in English, with minors in journalism and German. She is a classical pianist, theology enthusiast, and eternal wearer of rose-colored glasses.
