Whether she’s on a true medical hiatus like Kensington Palace announced, laying the groundwork for a divorce announcement, or somewhere else (we can all agree that the media coverage and Photoshop controversy are super weird), we can’t help but feel her absence. From her philanthropic public appearances to her impeccable outfits, we miss seeing her on our social media feeds. While the Palace stated she would return to her royal duties after Easter, we can still get our fix from other elegant royal women from around the world. Here are eight of our favorites.

Princess Sofia of Sweden

Before she married Prince Carl Philip (who doesn’t get enough credit for looking like a real-life Disney Prince) in 2015, she worked as a model and reality TV star. Her career initially sparked controversy when they started dating in 2010, but the public quickly grew to adore her and their relationship.

Like Princess Kate, Sofia is heavily involved in charity work, launching the Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia Foundation, which “works with issues relating to dyslexia and a safer everyday online life for children and young people.” In 2020, she became a volunteer medical assistant in Stockholm to care for patients during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, proving that she’s willing to talk the talk and walk the walk. She also has three children: Alexander, Gabriel, and Julian.

Sofia makes headlines for her sense of style, which we’d describe as feminine and timeless. She’s elegant yet relatable, making her the perfect aspirational role model for femininity and grace.

Queen Letizia of Spain

Similar to Kate and Sofia, Letizia was a commoner before marrying Felipe VI, King of Spain, in 2004. Before her marriage, she worked as a journalist in New York City and even covered the 9/11 attacks from Ground Zero. She married Felipe in 2004 and became Queen of Spain in 2014 after her father-in-law, King Juan Carlos, abdicated the throne in favor of his son.

Letizia is the ultimate modern royal. She epitomizes the glamour and style of a royal but also shows that women can have it all in work, family, and love. Her style is bold and colorful yet tasteful, and she can make a pantsuit look as feminine as a ballgown. She is also dedicated to charity work, serving as the Honorary President of the Spanish Association Against Cancer and of the Scientific Foundation.

Princess Leonor of Spain

As the eldest daughter of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, 18-year-old Leonor is the future Queen of Spain. Leonor may not have as much experience in the public as her mother, but she’s poised to become one of Europe’s most glamorous royals in the coming years. She made headlines back in November for wearing a chic Carolina Herrera coat, likely the first of many stylish outfits.

According to Vogue, the princess began attending Spain’s General Military Academy of Zaragoza over the summer and plans to study law after graduation. She is also the Honorary President of the Princess of Asturias Foundation. When asked about her title in 2019, she said, “The title of Princess of Asturias signifies my commitment to dedicate myself wholeheartedly in serving Spain and all Spaniards. In my home, the words ‘Spain’ and ‘Asturias’ resonate with the strength of the historical bond that unites them. This connection is deeply felt in my heart.”

She reminds us a lot of both Kate and her mother, making her one to watch for the next few years!

Princess Beatrice of England

Beatrice is one of Prince William’s first cousins, granddaughter to the late Queen Elizabeth II, niece to King Charles III, and is ninth in line of succession to the British throne. She made headlines in 2020 when she borrowed one of the Queen’s old dresses for her wedding to property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and she looked flawless.

While she and Kate are a part of the same royal family, she doesn’t make headlines as often. She is not a working royal, but she is famous for her charity work, particularly for organizations like UNICEF and Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice. Most recently, she hosted an event for the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity, in which she opened up about her own struggles with dyslexia.

Princess Madeline of Sweden

Madeline is the youngest daughter of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden. Unlike the rest of the women on this list, she has lived in the United States since 2018 but plans to move back to Sweden soon.

Despite living away from her home country, she’s still an active royal and "continues to be involved in the work of the World Childhood Foundation and has been the organisation's Vice Honorary Chair since December 2021." Similar to Kate, she is the mother of three children, and her sense of style is absolutely impeccable. Feminine and fabulous, she’s definitely one to keep up with.

Princess Eugenie of England

As the younger sister of Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie is eleventh in the line of succession for the British throne. She works as both a philanthropist and an art gallery director. She is passionate about many philanthropic causes, including the Anti-Slavery Collective, the UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women, and the Salvation Army.

Like her sister, she has often made headlines for her elegant sense of style. In 2018, she married brand ambassador, Jack Brooksbank, and is the mother of two sons. She and Beatrice may not be as famous as Kate, but you’ll love them if you love Kate’s style and dedication to charity work.

Queen Mary of Denmark

Though she was only crowned Queen of Denmark back in January, she has been a member of the Danish royal family since she married King Frederik X (then Crown Prince Frederik) in 2004. She is the mother of four children: Christian, Isabella, Vincent, and Josephine.

Originally from Australia, Queen Mary is dedicated to philanthropic efforts. She is the patroness of over 30 charities, including the Mary Foundation, an organization dedicated to “combatting social isolation in order to contribute to a society where everyone feels that they belong. We do this by developing and spreading initiatives that support the many on the edge of the community to stay in or enter the community.”

She has made headlines for years for her sense of style, which has become even more elegant and glamorous since becoming Queen of Denmark.

Queen Rania of Jordan

Queen Rania captured the international gaze when she married into the Jordanian royal family. She grew up in Kuwait, attended college in Cario for business, and had a successful career, holding executive positions in the Middle Eastern headquarters for both Citibank and Apple. The trajectory of her life changed at a dinner party in 1993 – she was introduced to Crown Prince Abdullah, and the two fell in love at first sight.

Besides being the mother of four children, Queen Rania has used her business background to boost Jordan’s economy and opportunities for all its citizens, and she has used her platform to advocate for the prosperity of children and women’s rights. She has also been an outspoken voice for peace and interreligious dialogue across the Middle East. And take one scroll through her Instagram, and you’ll see why she has been referred to as the Kate Middleton of the Middle East – her OOTDs are iconic!
