In case you missed it, Elon Musk just bought Twitter for $44 billion – and the news nearly broke the internet. It all started when he secured the largest share of Twitter at 9.2%, then rejected a seat on the board of directors. His offer of $44 billion to purchase the social media goliath was accepted on Monday. Since then, multiple celebrities, journalists, and everyday users have angrily announced that they are leaving Twitter because they're furious that Musk will now own the company. The Good Place actress Jameela Jamil tweeted her last tweet this week and announced her departure from Twitter.

Jameela Jamil Says Elon Musk Will Increase "Lawless Hate, Bigotry, and Misogyny"

Jamil has always been a supporter of anything from the radical agenda, from the demand for transgenderism to be accepted on a mainstream level to Black Lives Matter. Naturally, she is also falling in rank with every other leftist celebrity who insists that Musk will all but usher in World War III by taking over Twitter.

On Monday, Jamil announced her departure with a series of photos of her dog. "Ah he got twitter," she wrote. "I would like this to be my what lies here as my last tweet. Just really *any* excuse to show pics of Barold. I fear this free speech bid is going to help this hell platform reach its final form of totally lawless hate, bigotry, and misogyny. Best of luck."

It's both sad and hilarious that it's sometimes impossible to determine whether these tweets are real or if they're parody. Jamil is just one of many celebrities who are posting outrageously exaggerated tweets as if Musk's acquiring Twitter will result in some sort of civil rights tragedy.
