A tweet garnering nearly 30,000 likes displayed a series of selfies with Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose, who met on the set of Hannah Montana. “Billy Ray Cyrus is engaged to a girl who is one year younger than Miley who he allegedly met on the set of Hannah Montana I literally want to puke and die,” the tweet says. “Also their FaceTune use is so weird what is even going on.”

The "Achy Breaky Heart" singer’s alleged soon-to-be-wife goes by the name Firerose. The blue-eyed blonde is a singer-songwriter from Sydney, Australia. According to a source, Cyrus (who is 61) and Firerose have been dating for a while but their relationship did not begin while he was married. It's said the pair grew closer while they were working on music together. Some news reports are stating that the couple is engaged, but neither of them have actually confirmed the rumor. Word spread when Firerose uploaded a picture of her and Cyrus with her arm on his shoulder – and people were quick to point out the giant ring she was wearing.

“We actually met 10 years ago on the set of Hannah Montana,” Firerose says. “Billy Ray’s been a phenomenal supporter of my music ever since. He’s just really believed in me and continued to tell me to pursue my dreams and not give up no matter what.” Billy Ray and his ex-wife, Tish, officially filed for divorce in early 2022. And according to some sources, Firerose is only in her mid-20s, while Miley Cyrus is 29 years old. Though there is quite the age gap between them, the couples’ social media posts seem wholesome. Despite this, Twitter users have been incredibly vocal about their relationship, and some of them even believe Firerose was groomed.

While grooming does happen in Hollywood, it’s not fair to automatically assume that couples with a large age gap were brought about due to “grooming” or "predatory behavior." Firerose is now old enough to make decisions on her own – she’s no longer a child, and she seems incredibly happy to be with Billy Ray.
